What an honest and true account … I can totally relate to this. Thank you for posting and sharing. It’s hard sometimes to ditch the depression and haul ourselves out of it. X

Your thoughts are so valuable and true. Thank you for sharing them from your heart with such honesty. I think we all are taught at some point to stuff our feelings. The teaching can come from a rebuke, a slap or a frown. Or we may be told not to be a “cry baby” “suck it up.” But God is an emotional God and he created us in his image. Jesus wept for his friends and his city. God experiences anger when evil hurts us or carries us away and jealousy when his children who go after other gods because his love is so great for us. So when we feel something, it is right, good and truth to express those feelings appropriately – joy, sorrow, mourning, gladness. And when we are in pain, pain shows us that something is wrong. If you broke your arm, you wouldn’t ignore the pain, you would set about doing things to heal the broken bone. You would use ice and herbs or medicine to help it feel better and heal. I believe it is the same with our hearts. Stuffing feelings means they will keep rising to the surface until we acknowledge and address them. Only then can we move on into our next day, free and unencumbered by them. Thanks for checking out my blog. I’m glad you found something helpful there. 🙂

This post was right one time and I’m glad I found it today when I’m feeling moody but don’t know why. I know tomorrow, or even later tonight, I’ll feel better. I believe we are here on earth to care – sometimes about the world, sometimes about our own family, and sometimes about ourselves. Thank you for the smile… and the follow. 🙂

We can never know if we are doing the ‘right thing’ at the time. Only experience will tell us, later.
Thanks for following my blog, which is much appreciated.
Best wishes, Pete.

This was an enjoyable read for me. We do hide so many things from ourselves sometimes and we shouldn’t, we should be us.
